Accessibility
Our accessibility statement.
Compliance software is used all day by people with every kind of need. This is what we commit to, how we check it, and where we fall short.
Standard
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, for this website and for the signed-in platform.
How we check
Every page of the platform (107 screens) and every page type of this website is run through automated checks (axe-core, WCAG 2.0 to 2.2 A and AA) before a release. The latest run found no violations on the platform or this website. Automated checks catch about a third of problems; a keyboard and screen-reader pass of the screens customers use most is scheduled before launch and its findings will be listed here.
What works
Keyboard access to every control, visible focus, a skip link, labelled form fields with error text read by screen readers, colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text, no information carried by colour alone, reduced motion respected, and layouts that work at 200% zoom and on a phone.
Known limitations
PDF reports are for printing and filing and are not tagged for screen readers; every report is also available on the web with headings, tables and text, and each PDF says where. Tagged PDFs are planned. The evidence graph is a visual view; the same data is available in the tables beside it. Charts have text equivalents in their legends. The manual keyboard and screen-reader pass has not been completed yet.
Conformance report
A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is available on request for procurement reviews.
